2009 - 2010 Daily Schedule

6:30 a.m. Early Morning Care - provided for a fee
7:15 a.m. The building opens and adult supervision is provided.  Breakfast begins.  Buses begin to arrive.
7:30 a.m. Teachers report to work.
7:45 a.m. Students report to class.
7:55 a.m. The first bell rings: School has officially begun
8:00 a.m. The tardy bell rings.  Students who are not in their classrooms are tardy.

2:45 p.m. After School Care Program students and all car riders are dismissed.
2:50-3:00 p.m. Bus riders and Daycare van riders  are dismissed.

The beginning of the official school day is 7:55 a.m.  The tardy bell rings at 8:00 a.m.  At that time, students should be in their classrooms or they will be counted tardy.  Students who arrive after 8:00 a.m. must be checked into the office by a parent/guardian before going to their classrooms.

Early Morning Care is available from 6:30 - 7:15 a.m. for a nominal fee ($2.00 per day).  This program is supervised by two HES teachers, Cynthia Brast and Jenni Shackelford.   Unless students participate in the Early Morning Care Program, they should arrive at school no earlier than 7:15 a.m.  There is no adult supervision until that time.

Breakfast is served from 7:15 - 7:45 a.m.  Students who plan to eat breakfast at school should report to the Cafeteria immediately.  When finished, they will be dismissed to their designated area.  Students who do not eat breakfast should report to their designated area as soon as they arrive at school.  The designated areas for each grade are:

Kindergarten:       Media Center

First Grade:           Upper & Lower Hallways

Second Grade:     Upper Hallway
