Michele Shepherd, Principal

Ms. Michele Shepherd

Michele Shepherd is the Principal at the Linda Nolen Learning Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Alabama A and M University of Huntsville, Alabama, and her Masters in Education degree from Alabama State University and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Mrs. Shepherd received her Administration Certification from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has nineteen years of teaching experience and four years as Assistant Principal.

Mrs. Shepherd enjoys her job. She gets very ecstatic when the children at the LNLC can go back to their community school and show success. She continues to find new and innovative ways in helping children to learn about themselves, feel connected to their teachers, and build the foundation for learning.

Mrs. Shepherd has one daughter, Britney.

 

Sharyn Hillin, Assistant Principal

Ms. Sharyn Hillin

Sharyn Hillin is the Assistant Principal at the Linda Nolen Learning Center. She became the Assistant Principal in February of 2004, after teaching at the center for seven years. Prior to that, Ms. Hillin taught special education at McAdory High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Mild Learning Handicaps from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She received her Administrative Certification from the University of Montevallo.

Ms. Hillin loves working at LNLC. She enjoys visiting the classes and spending time talking with each student individually.  She is proud of the caring, dedicated and highly trained staff at LNLC and loves being a part of the team.
