Pelham High School Athletics
The Athletic department at Pelham High School supports many sports. With great financial support from the city of Pelham and the legendary former Mayor Bobby Hayes, Pelham boasts one of the best collection of athletic facilities in Alabama. The aerial photo of our campus found on the About Us page demonstrates the community's commitment to excellence.
The football/soccer field was recently upgraded with the best field turf and athletic track on the market. The baseball and softball fields have recently been renovated to accommodate teams that frequent the AHSAA top ten rankings.
The boys and girls golf teams call Ballantrae Golf Club home. Ballantrae won national accolades in 2005 from Golf Digest as "The Best New Affordable Public Golf Course," and from Golf for Women Magazine as one of the "Top 50 Courses for Women." In 2009 The Birmingham News named Ballantrae the 3rd best public course in the state.
Recent accomplishments include the baseball team's 6A state championship in 2004 and a girls volleyball runner-up finish in 2008. Additionally, many of our students receive scholarships to continue their playing careers at colleges and universities.
