Parent-Teacher Organization

Thompson High School PTO Board 2009-2010

The Parent-Teacher Organization is not just another fund-raising organization at Thompson High. The PTO's goal is to raise money that goes specifically toward academic materials, books for the media center, teacher and student scholarships, and miscellaneous academic needs that arise during the school year. We are also here to improve communication between parents and the school as well as promote a positive environment for our students

Thanks to your efforts, we were able to accomplish a lot last year. The PTO was able to donate money for books in the school library that were necessary for accreditation. Four teacher grants and two student scholarships awarded for community service were presented. Student Ambassadors were selected to represent THS at special events in the school and community. Over 300 students were honored at PTO-sponsored A/A-B honor roll pizza parties throughout the year. PTO board officers worked at Freshman Orientation, Registration, Parent Involvement Night, Financial Aid Night, and numerous faculty luncheons as well. Our Sunshine coordinator provides birthday treats and cards for our faculty throughout the year.
