A: The Auto Tech program covers Brakes, Steering & Suspension, Engines, Electrical, Light Repair and Maintenance and shop safety. Approximately 80% of instruction is hands-on in the shop and 20% is in the classroom.
Q: What are the prerequisite skills needed to begin in the program, if any:
A: This program is designed for beginners as well as those with some auto skills, although having a passion for automobiles is a plus.
Q: What credentials or certificates can be obtained in a 1, 2, and 3 year period in the program:
A: The knowledge learned in this program will prepare students for ASE certification which all shops require.

A: Post-Secondary opportunities are available through UTI and Lawson State
