Mr. Branden Vincent - Principal

The students, staff, and administration of the Calera Middle School welcome you to our school. We are confident that you will find the information on this site useful and that you will learn more about what makes the Calera Middle School an extraordinary place. Calera Middle has a dedicated and experienced staff, an active PTO, with caring and committed families. We are also committed to providing a safe, caring, and challenging educational environment that promotes learning and achievement for all students.

Mr. VincentWe recognize and celebrate the diverse learning styles, interests, talents, and cultures of our students and strive to offer a rich variety of meaningful learning experiences that will inspire innovative thinkers and confident learners. One of our goals is to increase the rigor of our curriculum and maintain high expectations for our students and staff. Students should be challenged and held accountable to master skills to pass classes and have success on state assessments, but be able to rise to high expectations. Another goal would be to develop lifelong learners. Through a relevant curriculum, students will see the significance of an education and how it will impact their future. Lastly, we want to create a safe learning environment for all students and staff. Students/Staff deserve a school/work environment where they feel safe and comfortable.

I am confident that all students can be successful if they attend school daily, complete their work on time, and get involved in the school community. We invite you to become an active participant in our school community through volunteering, joining our PTO, or attending and supporting school events. Research supports that when parents/guardians participate and are involved in their child’s education, there is a greater rate of academic success for the child.

We truly believe that communication is the key to a successful educational experience. Together, we will continue to improve the quality of our school community and provide the best for the children of Calera Middle School. Education is a partnership between the school, students, parents/guardians, and community. We desire the best for all students and look forward to partnering with parents and community members to help our students be their best! Feel free to contact us at 205-682-6140 any time during our hours of operation.

Welcome to Calera Middle and remember, “You’re an Eagle, and What you do Matters!”
