Tonya Borden-Hudson is the principal of Vincent Elementary School. She has been in education for over 17 years. She has taught first grade and third grade and earned National Board Certification in the area of early childhood generalist. Dr. Hudson was the assistant principal at VES prior to becoming principal. She earned a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science, and an Educational Specialist degree in elementary education at Jacksonville State University. Additionally, she earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in educational leadership at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Marlana Hodo grew up in Sylacauga, Alabama. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2004, Mrs. Hodo began her career as a third grade teacher in Shelby County, and from 2013-2015, she served as an administrative assistant. Mrs. Hodo resides in northern Shelby County with her husband, Davey, and son, Wilson. During her free time, she enjoys watching her son play baseball, shopping, and spending time with friends and family.
