About Vincent Elementary

Overview

Vincent Elementary School made history in Alabama by being the first one in the state to pilot a year-round school calendar. Our school has since changed back to a traditional calendar to be consistent with other schools in the district. However, we are still frequently recognized for the once popular piloted program.

In 2007, Vincent Elementary School received a grant from the Office of School Readiness (OSR) to begin a Pre-K program. VES was the first school in the district to have the OSR Pre-K program. This program serves 18 four-year old students with a certified teacher and an aide.
