3D Modeling Club (Paula Hughes) This club will explore the foundations of 3D Modeling and work with the autodesk Inventor program.  This club will help further our experience in the engineering range of professions.  

ASL - Am Sign Language Club (Stacey Blakemore /Cindy Smith ) - To expose students to ASL and increase their awareness and interest in learning ASL

Alabama Youth Legislature (Tyler Goble)  - Youth Legislature is a national YMCA program for high school students that prepares them for moral and political leadership through training in the theory and practice of developing public policy.

Ambassadors (Jessica DiPiazza /Katie Blight) - The OM Masters are student ambassadors who will represent the school in a number of different ways.

Apologetics Club (Williams Dunham) - Defense and understanding of the Christian faith

Art Club (Nicole McKinney -  The art club is a student led club with the direction of improving our community through the visual arts.

Athletic Training Student Aides (Katie Cardinal) -  Our purpose is to educate students on how to be successful in the health care and/or sports medicine profession. The organization also provides hands-on experience. Athletic Trainers provide health care and emergency response for the physically active, as well as other populations and occupational settings.

Bass Fishing Club (Terri Cox)  - To promote a love of bass fishing

BETA Club (Charon Wilcox, -  Beta Club promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among secondary school students, while recognizing and honoring high academic achievement, preparing young people for life and empowering them to be successful, and developing the leaders of tomorrow through demonstration of our motto: Let Us Lead by Serving Others.  The club is a student led honor society that completes community service in the community.

Chess Club (Lauren Cole / Kevin McMahon ) -  The purpose of Chess Club is to spread the love and knowledge of this magnificent game.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Derek Irons/Katie Cardinal)  - Our purpose is to encourage and support all coaches and athletes at OMHS.

Gaming Club (Trista Nabors) 

Gay-Straight Alliance Amanda Gallups/Kathy Henson,  - This is a student-run club that brings together LGBTQI+ and allied students to support each other, provide a safe place to socialize, and to create a platform to fight for racial, gender, LGBTQ, and economic justice. OMGSA is a part of the GSA Network, which is an organization that empowers and trains youth leaders to advocate and organize for safer schools and healthier communities. The members of GSA develop leadership and activism experiences that prioritize building alliances across sexual orientation and gender identity lines as well as across race, ethnicity, and class lines.

Hockey Club - (Lauren Cole) - The purpose of this club is to promote the love of hockey and sportsmanship.

Junior Classical League (Kristen Sheffield) -  JCL is our school’s Latin Club. We are made up of students who have an interest in the history, language, mythology, and culture of the ancient Romans and Greeks. Some fun things we do each year are: design our club t-shirt, go to the Greek Food Festival downtown, host the best Saturnalia (holiday) party ever, attend and participate in the state JCL convention, and post Latin memes on our instagram account (@omhsjcl).

Library Club (Kathy Collins) - The purpose is to enlist ideas from interested students concerning library collections and programs with the end goal of having all students becoming invested and represented in the OMHS library. We will only meet once a month.

Literary Magazine Club (Amy Strickland)  - Students create a printed magazine comprised of student writing, artwork, and photography. Students will select the content of the magazine as well as design it. The OMHS literary magazine is an award-winning publication.

Minority Student Association (Charon Wilcox)  - The purpose of this club is to foster a diverse student environment; expose the community to elements of different cultures; perform community service; provide spiritual, emotional, personal, and academic support for students while promoting awareness and understanding of the cultures in our community.

Mountain Bike Club (David DiPiazza) - The purpose of this club is to promote the love of mountain biking and being outdoors.

Oak Mountain Business Alliance (DECA/FBLA) (Lauren Ingram) (Jennifer Shoemaker)  Drew Pickett/ Beth Parmer)  - The combination of two national organizations (DECA/FBLA) that form one cohesive club in which we encourage our members to participate in our three focuses: Competition, Community Service, & Social Activities. DECA/FBLA are business and marketing organizations.

Origami Club  (Megan Johnson)  The purpose of this club is to promote creativity and community among students.

PALS (Taylor Korson /Malinda Holmes) - Our purpose is to help unify and foster relationships between people with and without disabilities. @OMHSPALS *insta*

Pickleball Club (Kent Jackson) 

Pre Health Professionals (William Dunham) - The pre health professionals club is for high school students who are interested in any healthcare careers. We will have professionals and university students speak to the group about different careers and what it takes to be successful. 

Rock Climbing Club   - OMHS's representation for the Interscholastic Climbing League in Birmingham.

SODA Student Organ Donation Advocates  (Amanda Gallups) - We participate in student-led organ and tissue donation education and registration efforts.

STEM Club  STEM tutoring, activities, mentors/Career path discussions (Emily Roberts) / (Daniel Hines)  

Scholars Bowl (Jim Moore /Amanda Gallups)  -  To compete in Quiz Bowl competitions around the state and win Country, Region, and State Championships

Speech and Debate Team (Michael Johnson) - This is an academic team that competes regionally at NSDA sanctioned tournaments. Scores gained while on the team are carried over when you join a college debate team.

Technology Student Association (TSA) (Paula Hughes) - TSA enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitions and related programs. tsaweb.org  

Thespians (Amy Strickland) - The OMHS Thespians is a drama club committed to pursuing excellence in the theatre arts. The drama club produces multiple productions throughout the year, attends competitions, and performs theatre-adjacent community service. VEX Robotics Competition Team (Quenta Pollard)  - Compete in VEX Robotics Competitions and Qualify for the WORLDS Competition.

Volleyball Club (David DiPiazza)  The purpose of this club is to give students the opportunity to play volleyball outside of the regular sports season.

Writing Club  - Student writing mentors help teach peer writers various strategies to improve their writing; they provide encouragement and support for peer writers; they model and guide peer writers through the steps of the writing process; and provide feedback on peer's essay assignments.

Young Women’s Club (Vicki Jackson) - Our purpose is to educate, empower, and encourage each other to achieve our goals.
