Meal Benefit Application Open Shelby County Schools are now accepting meal benefit applications. Please go online at https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application to complete the meal benefit application and determine eligibility for free or reduced-priced meals. Newly enrolled and kindergarten students will not receive a benefits notification letter until after the first day of school. Benefits for these students will be applied on the first day of school. All students in a household are eligible for the same level of benefits. If you receive multiple notification letters, the greatest benefit will be applied. 🦅📣Friends of OMMS Cheer Host Benefit Concert A concert featuring The Velcro Pygmies will be held August 8th in Avondale @ 7:00 PM with a portion of the ticket sales benefiting OMMS Cheer. This is a family-friendly event and all ages are welcome! Shelby County Schools is launching a new community outreach initiative, Shelby 101, designed to engage community members who are passionate about public education and are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the school district, its 31 schools, and various programs. A total of 40 participants will be selected for the 2025-2026 Shelby 101 cohort. The application is available at https://www.shelbyed.k12.al.us/shelby101. The deadline to apply is Friday, August 15th, 4:00 p.m.

Designing, building, coding, and decorating! 7th graders in Mrs. Burgess' Automation and Robotics class did a fantastic job on their final projects! By using two or more of the mechanisms they practiced building during the semester, they designed their own build to present to the class! 💥💪🏗️
