We've had a great start to gardening club this semester! Last week, we planted seeds, and this week we got to check out our progress! Look at our plants growing!

We love seeing how one idea can lead to an even better one! When the center pieces of several of Mrs. Jones’ tape dispensers broke when accidentally dropped, one 8th grader noticed the problem and came up with a quick solution — using a pen taped to the dispenser as a replacement. It worked!
Then, Tanner, saw that solution and thought, “I can improve that.” He 3D printed replacement pieces that are sturdy, functional, and fit the dispensers perfectly, and gave Mrs. Jones several backups!
This is what creativity and problem-solving look like in action: notice a need, try a solution, then keep improving it. These students didn’t wait for someone else to fix the problem — they used the resources and skills they had to make something better. So proud of this kind of thinking! 👏🦅

The yearbook staff traveled to Thompson High School this past Friday to attend the Jostens Fall Conference. They brainstormed theme and cover ideas and made a lot of progress for this year's book. We can't wait to show you what they are working on!

Today is Para Appreciation Day! OMMS has the best group of paraprofessionals around! Words that were used to describe them by their coworkers and engraved on beautiful bracelets: steady, anchor, compassionate, authentic, grace, thoughtful, gracious, unshakeable, faithful, and sparkly!
Our paras show up everyday to help create positive environments, support our students, and help celebrate all the victories! Our school is blessed with the BEST!!
