Last night we celebrated our OMMS Character in Action award recipient ~Hallie Kelly. Hallie was nominated by her teachers & administration for this recognition.
This award recognizes the outstanding character of a student inside and outside of the classroom and Hallie is a true example of hard work, empathy, respect, kindness and inclusion. We were thrilled to honor and celebrate her at this special award ceremony. 🙌⬅️🙌⬅️❤️❤️. Way to GOOM Hallie 💕

The OMMS PBIS store grand opening is Monday ! We are so excited about our new positive behavior award program point system!
It's a positive behavior incentive program based on point giving for being safe , respectful and responsible!
Currently, students have been able to redeem points in their teachers class stores. We are excited to announce that the PBIS GOOM store opens Monday.
Students shop online and put orders in their cart (what they can buy depends on the amount of points they have ). During advisory at the end of the day they can pick up their placed order from Mrs. Deems "at the window " on A-hall (6th grade hall). 💥🙌💥🙌. Great job OMMS students !
We had a soft opening this past week and all our students who had perfect attendance this past 9 weeks received bonus PBIS points and were able to shop early! (If they had the minimum points and if they read their email to do so 😉😉😉😉). #responsible

6th grade students in Ms. Boyd's FACS (Family and Consumer Sciences) elective took some time to reflect and examine their self-concept as a step in the goal-setting process. Ms. Boyd facilitated a meaningful culminating team-building activity during which students found others with the same popsicle stick and shared responses to reflection questions. Standards-based instruction and high student engagement during this fun and valuable lesson!
