9th and 11th grade students and select seniors (who have earned College and Career Ready Credentials) will have an E-Day, Tuesday, October 21st.
All 10th grade students will be participating in the Pre-ACT on campus.
Select seniors, who are working to meet the required credentials, will be participating in the ACT WorkKeys on campus as well. Seniors who need to report received an email from Mr. Riggins.
Both tests are required by the Alabama State Department of Education and by Shelby County. Anyone not present on 10/21 must take a make-up exam at a later date.
College application season is in full swing! As students apply to college, finding scholarships to help pay for college expenses is a top priority. Here is a list of scholarship search sites that are great tools to use to identify potential scholarship opportunities.

Don't forget that this week is the Alabama Goes to College Application Campaign. Many colleges and universities are waiving application fees through this coming Friday. Attached is a list of participating schools - many from adjoining states as well as in-state. Seniors have also been sent a spreadsheet that contains college contact information, as well as any college specific application instructions. This event provides a great opportunity to save a lot of money by not paying application fees.
