Jefferson State Community College is pleased to continue the tradition of providing scholarship opportunities to outstanding area high school students.
JSCC has a new Scholarship Portal for 2026-2027!
The JSCC Scholarship Portal provides students with a convenient and efficient way to apply for institutional scholarships at Jefferson State Community College. With just one application, you will be automatically matched with all currently open institutional scholarships for which you qualify—saving time and simplifying the process. Students must complete a free Admissions application and obtain their myJSCC login credentials to access the application and apply. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2026.
In addition to the Counselor's Scholarship, Jefferson State is pleased to offer the following scholarship opportunities to graduating seniors.
Presidential Honors Scholarship
Scholarship will cover in-state tuition and fees for up to 15 credit hours per semester. The scholarship is renewable for up to 6 semesters. The scholarship does not cover books or the Pioneer Pack book fee.
Academic Excellence Scholarship Tier 1
Scholarship will cover in-state tuition and fees for 9 credit hours per semester. The scholarship is renewable for up to 6 semesters. The scholarship does not cover books or the Pioneer Pack book fee.
Academic Excellence Scholarship Tier 2
Scholarship will cover in-state tuition and fees for 6 credit hours per semester. The scholarship is renewable for up to 6 semesters. The scholarship does not cover books or the Pioneer Pack book fee.
Dual Enrollment Achievement Scholarship for Graduating Seniors
Scholarship will cover in-state tuition and fees for 6 credit hours per semester. The scholarship is renewable for up to 6 semesters. The scholarship does not cover books or the Pioneer Pack book fee.

Got talent? The 2026 Calera High School Talent Show will take place on Friday, February 13 at 6:00pm. 1st, 2nd, 3rd place will be awarded to the top 3 acts. You can perform solo, duet, or as a group! Whether your talent is singing, dancing, acting, juggling, or any other skill, we would love to have you. Check your email for the link to sign up! Tickets to watch will be $5 for students.

Parents: Please make sure your student is on time tomorrow and that he or she comes prepared to take their 2nd ACT Diagnostic test. They will need a pencil and a calculator.

Students are NOT allowed to drive to school without a parking pass. In order to get a pass, the following must be completed:
1. Student must have the attached Student Parking 2025-2026 Form filled out and ready to upload.
2. Student must have digital copy of proof of insurance ready to upload
3. Student must have a digital copy of their Driver's License.

5. Students must pay for the parking pass ($50) -Payments can be made at the front office or online via MySchoolBucks (bit.ly/cahsregistration)

The Quattuor Scholarship Application is now open. This 4-year scholarship will provide $1000 every year that the awardees keep their college GPA above 3.0. The scholarship deadline is April 11th, 2026.

The Mu Psi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. would like to share an exciting leadership opportunity for students this spring.
Their chapter will be hosting the Alpha L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Education, Achievement, and Development) Academy, a multi-weekend program designed for current high school students in grades 9–12. The Academy focuses on helping students strengthen leadership skills, plan for postsecondary education and careers, build personal responsibility, and engage in healthy decision-making - along with getting some hands-on leadership experience!
The program includes interactive sessions, teamwork activities, exposure to college and career pathways, and opportunities for personal growth. Students who complete the program will participate in a graduation ceremony recognizing their achievement.

This Holiday Season, our SGA had the privilege of serving a meal to patients recovering from cancer treatment at Hope Lodge. We would like to remind all of our seniors and their parents about the College Financial Aid Night presentation that will be held on out campus tomorrow, December 3rd, at 6pm. Mrs. Kimberly Miller from the University of Montevallo will be presenting. The information she provides is applicable to all colleges and universities.
The meeting location has been changed to the CaHS band room. All guests should enter the building via the student parking lot entrance by the gym and auditorium. We will have signs directing guests to the band room.
