ATTENTION PARENTS: Mandatory high school football parent meeting for the 2024-2025 football season. This includes upcoming freshmen to rising senior parents. Please spread the word to all current and prospective parents. March 20th @ 6PM in the CHS cafeteria (Enter building at the gym doors)

ACT and E-Day Tuesday, March 12 Tomorrow all juniors will take the ACT on campus. Information in regards to this was emailed to juniors. All 9th, 10th and 12th grade students will have an E-Day. Assigments will be sent to these students digitally. They will not report to campus.

Do you like to build things with your hands? Girls Can Camp is a 3-day, hands-on camp for current 8th, 9th, & 10th grade girls featuring carpentry, welding, and electrical specialties. Learn to operate power tools, wire outlets/switches, and weld metal together with fire all while completing your very own take-home projects! Effective March 1, Calera High School will no longer accept drop off items for students in the front office. Please make sure that your child has everything they need for the school day before they leave for school. Thank you for helping us with this.

Pleae reference out check-out policy below Checkouts are to be handled in person only. Checkout requests by email, phone, or handwritten notes will not be accepted or granted. Students may be checked out one of two ways: Traditional checkout: The person checking out a student must enter the building through the front office and sign them out. Photo ID will be required, and said person must be on the students checkout list, which was provided by the parent/guardian during registration. (This has to be completed/updated each year) Such checkouts cannot occur after 2:30. Pre-checkout: The person checking out a student must enter the building through the front office, and sign the student out ahead of time for a future specified date and time (no more than a couple of days ahead). This allows parents/guardians to pre-checkout their students before school, or even days before, for appointments that come at a later time when the parent/guardian is unavailable to be present in person at the time of checkout. Photo ID is required, and they must be on the approved checkout list for that student, which was provided by the parent/guardian during registration. We thank you for your cooperation and support as we continue to utilize and enforce the best protocols, to ensure the safety and education of our students.
