Schedule information:
*6th graders will receive their schedules at Eagle Camp. Those who don’t attend Eagle Camp will receive them on the first day of school.
*7th & 8th Graders will receive their schedules on the first day of school.
*When students arrive at school, there will be a poster listing their name and first-period teacher. Once they get to first period, schedules will be handed out.
*Students with an incomplete enrollment process will be sent to the library to call their parent or guardian.

6th Grade only- Please make plans to join us for Eagle Camp on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. During this school orientation, 6th-grade students will receive their schedules, practice their locker combinations, and learn more about the school. Parents will also have an orientation in the gym during this time.

No bags or book bags this week! Kids will go to lockers at the beginning of the day to put up their cellphones and at the end of the day to retrieve them. Only other permission is if they have a lunchbox.

There will be a CaMS football parent meeting on Thursday, May 14th, at 5:30 pm in the middle school gym. Please park at car rider line and front of the school and walk up the right side of the school for the meeting (This is for current 6th & 7th graders)

The Force was strong at Calera Middle School as teachers celebrated “May the Fourth Be With You” in a fun and engaging way! Throughout the day, teachers brought learning to life with creative Star Wars-themed lessons that kept students excited and involved in the classroom.
Teachers also had the opportunity to visit one another’s classrooms to observe lessons, share ideas, and celebrate the amazing teaching happening across campus. From galaxy-inspired activities to collaborative learning experiences, the day was filled with creativity, teamwork, and plenty of school spirit.
A big thank you to our teachers for making learning fun and for continuing to inspire our students every day. May the Force be with our Eagles!

This past weekend, our Theater Club students performed 101 Dalmatians Kids. They put on a fantastic show at all three performances, and they even performed in front of their peers! Ms. Daviston and her students worked for months to make the show a success! We appreciate all of their hard work! Also, many thanks to all of the people that contributed to the show's success! More photos to come!

The Technology Student Association (TSA) competed in the ACES2 Mobility Competition (Alabama Transportation Institute and the University of Alabama). They came in FIRST PLACE, and they also won the Engineering Excellence Award in addition to being #1 in the state. Judging was done by transportation engineers from ATI and UA. The kids designed, built, and programmed an autonomous flooded road detector with a warning sign to alert drivers to dangerous driving conditions. The design was made to be solar powered, programmed in Python, and super cheap to encourage mass deployment (...and because of Alabama budgets). They made a working, programmed model to submit. We are so proud of this group! FLY AS ONE!
