Yesterday, Shelby Elementary was represented by several students at the Shelby County Honor Choir. These students spent the day working with clinician, Dr. Morgan Soja, to rehearse 5 songs that they sung at a concert later that night. We are so proud of our wonderful students! 🎶🐾
Congratulations to Zach, Chloe, and Jameson! Their art was chosen to represent Shelby Elementary in the Shelby County Schools Visual Arts Exhibit.
Zach’s artwork was chosen to represent Shelby County Schools at the State of Alabama Visual Art Exhibit. His artwork was displayed in the gallery of the old Supreme Court building in Montgomery!

Help NEEDED!!! The SES Santa Shop will open on Monday, December 9th and we need several volunteers to assist students with shopping for and wrapping their gifts. The Santa Shop will be open next Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. If you are available to assist any day, for any length of time, we would greatly appreciate it! The Santa Shop is a fun and exciting time for our students, as well as a very significant fundraiser for our school. Currently, we have a limited number of volunteers and really need your help! We're so excited for our annual Christmas program and silent auction! Please have your students at South Shelby Baptist Church by 5:45. The program will begin at 6. PTO will also be holding a silent auction at SSBC from 5:30-7:30. Bidding will close at 7:30. The PTO is beginning to collect items for our silent auction. Each grade level was assigned a theme in which the classrooms are responsible for getting items donated to build the baskets. In addition to these baskets, the PTO is hoping to get additional gift certificates, hotel stays, HOME-MADE baked goods, etc. for the auction. This is one of our largest fundraisers of the year and we need your help!!! Please see the attached flyer for grade level assignments!

The Shelby Elementary School Fall Festival will be held on Thursday, November 21st after school from 3:15-5:00 p.m. The PTO needs volunteers to help set up, run the concession stand, work the booths and clean up afterwards.
