Shelby County Schools' employees have the opportunity to participate in a variety of group and individual benefits. However, there are typically only 3 times during the year that enrollment or changes are permitted:

  1. Within 30 days of date of hire

  2. Qualifying Life Events

  3. Annual Open Enrollment

Other Benefits Available to Qualified Employees include, but are not limited, to the following:
The Shelby County Schools' Cafeteria Plan is a benefit program based on Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code and allows premiums or deductions for the plans listed below to be paid with pre-tax dollars:
