Nine of our school counseling programs were recognized at the American School Counseling Association National Conference in New Orleans for their recent achievement of earning RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) status. Thirty schools were recognized from Alabama and nine were from Shelby County Schools!
The conference provided a wealth of professional learning and connected counselors with a variety of resources that will benefit the academic, career, and foundational wellness of students across the district. Schools receiving recognition for RAMP status were Wilsonville Elementary, Shelby Elementary, Helena Elementary, Forest Oaks Elementary, Vincent Elementary, Calera High, and Oak Mountain High. Not pictured - but still honored - were Inverness Elementary and Chelsea Park Elementary.
