Calera Middle, Columbiana Middle, and Vincent Elementary School have been approved to provide summer meals for children under 18 years of age during June at no cost. Each Monday in June, from 9:00-9:30 AM, five breakfast and lunch meals will be provided. The five breakfast and lunch meals will be frozen and packed in an easy-to-transport box along with ten servings of milk.
To ensure there are enough meals and to comply with program requirements, families must register before meal pickup to obtain a ticket with a QR code. Registration is quick and easy. After each child is registered, a unique QR code will be emailed to the provided address. Check the SPAM folder if the email doesn't appear in the inbox. Open the email, scroll down to the “Order Receipt” section, and click the blue “View Your Order” button to see a copy of the QR code. Please print a copy (or download it to a mobile device) for each child and bring it for meal pickup.
Meals cannot be provided without a ticket that has a scannable QR code. There is a limited number of meals, so registration will close once all tickets are claimed for the distribution date. Families can claim a ticket each week at https://ticketharmony.com/shelby.
Quantities are limited and are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The QR code is unique for each child and site. It must be scanned for each child and can only be used at the assigned site.
